How Does Acupuncture Support IVF?
We work alongside many of the best London Fertility clinics including CRGH, ARGC, The Lister, Bart’s, Guy’s and The London women’s clinic to name a few. We offer support throughout the process, aiming to maximise positive outcomes using a combination of herbal medicine and acupuncture for IVF, ICSI and Assisted Reproductive Technology. This potent combination ensure that you have the best chance of success with assisted fertility.
“IVF with acupuncture increased the odds of pregnancy by 65% (according to early evidence on ultrasound), increased the odds of ongoing pregnancy by 87% (according to ultrasound evidence of pregnancy at 12 weeks) and increased the odds of a live birth by 91% compared with IVF on its own.”

There are three main phases that we can offer support during Ivf:
Preparation
This phase can begin at any time; months, weeks or days prior to you starting the ART procedures, which can include IUI, IVF or ICSI. We combine advice on lifestyle, nutrition, breathing and physical exercise with acupuncture and herbal medicine to create a personal treatment plan for you. We will work with you to support you throughout your journey, creating the optimal conditions for conception.
During the Cycle
We can work closely with your fertility clinic to help to enhance the treatment they are providing. Our treatments can help to increase the blood flow to your uterus and improve the quality and thickening of the endometrial lining, maximising the bodies preparation for a successful implantation. Acupuncture can also alleviate the side effects of medication, reducing symptoms such as bloating, mood swings, gas and other digestive issues.
Embryo Transfer
Research indicates that pre- and post-embryo transfer acupuncture treatments can dramatically increase your chances of achieving pregnancy by helping to relax the uterus, reducing cramping and minimising the negative effects of stress. We always try to be flexible so that we can offer you the opportunity to arrange new dates for transfers at very short notice in our central London clinics.

Natural fertility
Research indicates couples who are supported with Acupuncture are significantly more likely to get pregnant naturally.
