What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a holistic therapy which aims to return a patient to a healthy balance through stimulation of Acupuncture points distributed around the body.  With it’s origins dating back over 2000 years, Acupuncture techniques have been refined and perfected through centuries of clinical practice.   Virtually painless and without negative side effects, it can safely and effectively treat a wide range of physical, mental and emotional conditions.

Acupuncture is proven to be effective in treating:

Physical Pain – Chronic & Acute

Chronic health issues

Emotional Disorders

Fertility and women’s health

Acupuncture stimulates specific points located along the body’s meridians. These pathways permeate our bodies, connecting and interacting with one another to ensure the stability of our body function and to maintain our health.

Factors such emotional stress, injury, poor diet and lack of exercise all lead to imbalances,  disrupting the free flow of, blood,  organic fluids and information along the bodies pathways. When there is a blockage, the body gets out of balance, levels of body function are reduced, and illness can follow.

In an acupuncture treatment, we diagnose the imbalance holistically, taking account of the performance of the whole system.  Using ultra-fine single use sterile needles, we gently stimulate the indicated acupuncture points, prompting a movement and rebalancing of the body and it’s functions.

An effective acupuncture treatment is virtually painless and will improve your symptoms very quickly, reducing pain, stress and the severity of effects experienced.  At the same time we work to address the root of the imbalance, supporting the body through the process it needs to return to health.

The number of treatments required to permanently resolve symptoms and restore health depends on the length, severity and nature of the imbalance experienced. We recognize that everyone we treat in our London clinics in W1 and N16 has a unique condition and always create a bespoke treatment plan for each person.
